NOW BACK TO CAPT. BRODIE’S FISHING REPORTS…
OK folks…September and October are two excellent months for fishing here in south Mississippi. Matter a fact, in the last couple of mornings, well, a touch of fall could be felt on the rides out to the fishing grounds. Plus, after all of the rain dumping fresh water into the rivers and bays the waters are finally filtering out nicely. For example, on our last trip on Sunday near the mouth of the bay the water was simply gorgeous, and that was on a falling tide.
The reefs are on fire, and plenty of fish are prowling around the bridges too. Got some big specks lined up for a small group of good casting anglers if interested, and the Florida pompano are prowling the barrier island’s flats, and things are just getting cranked up good. Hey, you’ve put off going fishing aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS long enough, so hop aboard and let’s go catch a mess of fish.
For me this has been an awesome Labor Day weekend! Catching tons of fish with really fun people, as well as spending time with family and friends, eating delicious food, enjoying the pool, and smoking fine Cuban cigars. Hope all of you out there had a memorable weekend too. Take care my friends, and check out the last two trips posted below. Oh yeah, I have plenty of openings available so come on down!
ABOVE: Sunday, September 5, 2010 - “Take Home Catch: 181 White Trout & Ground Mullet” – On this fish catching outing, well, Quinn Howard and Jeff Brand from Lee Tractor Company in Gulfport, MS put together a half-a-day trip to catch white trout and ground mullet. This was one of those sanctioned fish kills, and the 4 men proceeded to easily box 181 fine white trout and ground mullet, and we left the fine trout biting. Larry and his son Brent was on this trip too, all of the men fished well, and had a great time hauling in the tasty reef dwellers. Photo By Capt. Robert L. Brodie
