Enough of the PR, now back to the fishing report…
Yesterday I had John Noel and Jimmy Childres aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS once again. John drives down from Jackson, MS and fishes with me on a regular basis, and brings along his friend Jimmy at times.

Needless to say, these guys are an extreme pleasure to fish with, even when we have to fish in poor conditions. Well, we started out in the Tchoutacabouffa River, and there they boxed 8 nice speckled trout, and along the way they back a good number of undersized specks and reds.

When the speck bite shut down we proceeded to run back to the Back Bay of Biloxi, and there the guys simply hammered the black drum.

These were of the small good eating variety, and when I finally got them to put up the rods, well, they had 38 drum in the box. Since we got back late, and I had to clean the fish in the rain this morning, well, there will be no pictures.

However, those “puppy” drum filleted out nicely, producing beautiful white fillets ready for the skillet. Bottom line, despite fishing in cloudy and rainy conditions with a poor tide the guys filled the ice chest with plenty of hard fighting and edible fish.

Got the rest of this week booked up, looking forward to fishing with some of my regular clients, and meeting new ones too. Hope to get back after the Florida pompano on a number of these trips, and get after the black drum, white trout, speckled trout, and some sheepshead that are starting to arrive with these cool fronts pushing through.

Have plenty of openings the following week, so be sure to get in on the great fall bay and barrier island action aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS.
