PRICING: A half-a-day trip (5-hours) goes for $350, and an all-day trip (8-hours) goes for $450. Included in that price is ice, bait, tackle, MS fishing license, fuel, and fish cleaning and packaging. And best of all, 4 anglers can divide up that price, and that makes it quite affordable for a fun day of fishing aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS.

Now back to Capt. Brodie’s fishing report…

Today aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS I was extremely happy to have Partick and Perry Calhoun of Flowood, MS back aboard for another fishing adventure. As I often talk of my wonderful clients, well, this duo is always fun to fish with, and they seem to thoroughly enjoy their time spent on the water.

No matter what the bite is they fish hard, and always seem to catch a fine mess of fish, even on short outings. Wanted to give them something that pulls hard,  so we started out the morning fishing for sheepshead, and the guys managed to put 15 fine keepers in the box.

Have to admit, today the sheepshead were biting short, and they went through a lot of live shrimp to bag the 15 fish. However, 5 of them were really nice specimens, and on light tackle really put up a fight. Also, while fishing for sheepshead Perry landed a beautiful 14-inch speckled trout, a nice bonus catch.

Once the sheepshead bite died down we were off to find some hard fighting black drum, and down by the Ocean Springs Bridge some really nice fish were found. Seven keepers were boxed, and 4 of those were 5 to 8-pound fish. Matter a fact, Perry landed 3 of the biggest drum, and had the time of her life evicting them from the depths of the bay. She was excited to say the least!

What can I say, just another day in paradise, and lucky enough to spend it with a couple of gracious people.  Patrick and Perry I can’t thank you guys enough for being fun clients, and keeping those baits in the water.  Hope to see ya’ll back again aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS in the future, and yes, we’ll eventually get you a shot at the Florida pompano next summer.

After this upcoming nasty weather passes through it looks like some excellent fishing will be at hand, so be sure to book your fishing trip soon as possible. Now that it isn’t near as hot it’s quite enjoyable on the water, and that makes for a pleasant outing.

Regards and many thanks to all,

Capt. Robert L. Brodie of TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS
