NOW BACK TO CAPT. BRODIE’S FISHING REPORTS…
First of all the white trout and ground mullet are coming in full force, and today in no time we boxed 110 and left a hot bite. Then we moved on to hunting redfish in the shallows of the barrier islands, and well, I’ll just let the photos do most of the story telling…
ABOVE: John Sullivan from Georgia is all smiles after just landing this huge redfish on 10-pound-test spinning tackle. The brute was safely released to fight another day! On this outing, John and his son Ian encountered hundreds and hundreds of big redfish swimming in the shallows of the barrier islands. It was world-class light-tackle sight-fishing just 10-miles south of Mississippi’s mainland. Want in on some of this action? Well, simply call Capt. Robert L. This fine fish along with 5 others were caught and released using 10-pound-test spinning tackle in 1 to 2-feet of gin clear water. At times multiple schools of these big reds surrounded the boat, and were an awesome sight to witness in the skinny water at Mississippi’s barrier islands. Photo by Capt. Robert L. Brodie
