ABOVE: At the D’Iberville Marina, David Bartholdi from Texas was a one man wrecking crew on the fish population in the Back Bay of Biloxi today while fishing aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS. You name it…he caught it including a non stop bite of black drum from puppy drum to 40 pound monsters, gorgeous redfish, a flounder, and a mess of fine white trout. What a morning with a light northwest wind, clean water, and fish biting like crazy. Unlike the last couple of trips where we had to really work to catch fish, today it was game on everywhere we wet a line. By the time the morning bite was over David’s arms ached, and he literally filled the big ice chest to the point of not fitting in another fish. Heck, we released plenty of fish and left them biting like mad. No, this wasn’t a morning of fishing, but was definitely a morning of hard-core fish catching fun. Caught all of these fish just 5-minutes from the D’Iberville Marina in the fish keeping zone. Want to try your luck at some of this fish catching action? Well, simply call Capt. Robert L. ABOVE: Hailing from the Lone Star State, David Bartholdi caught his 3-fish limit of these gorgeous slot redfish while fishing aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS, and lost a couple of monsters too. Although we’re limited to the Back Bay of Biloxi for keeping fish, going back to many of my old childhood haunts has been delivering plenty of rod bending action. Today David had an epic morning of bottom fishing aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERs, and left the fish biting out of control. Photo by Capt. Robert L. Brodie
ABOVE: Didn’t have to release this hefty black drum, but he was just a bit to big for the dinner table, and besides, the ice chest was full of puppy drum, white trout, flounder, and redfish. Today the wind, tide, and moon was in our favor, and David wore himself out catching hard fighting fish one after another. Photo by Capt. Robert L. Brodie
ABOVE: David Bartholdi from Hemphill, Texas poses with some of the fish he caught while fishing aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS in the Back Bay of Biloxi. Today, not including plenty of catch and released fish, David’s take home catch included 33 black drum, a nice flounder, 25 or so white trout, and his 3-fish limit of gorgeous redfish. A number of big black drum and redfish was lost on this outing, but that all part of the light tackle challenge. Photo by Capt. Robert L. Brodie
ABOVE: Black drum are excellent eating and simply a blast to catch on light tackle. Like their red-hued cousins the redfish, these fish are a sucker for a dead shrimp fished on the bottom, and they range in size from small “puppy” drum to specimens well over 60-pounds. Today David experience an epic morning of bottom fishing in the Back Bay of Biloxi aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS catching 25 or so white trout, a nice flounder, and 40 or more black drum of which 33 were introduced to the ice chest. Lost a number of huge fish to underwater structure too. Photo by Capt. Robert L. Brodie
ABOVE: David Bartholdi had the time of his life catching this fine mess of fish in the Back Bay of Biloxi while fishing aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS. On this trip released numerous fish and left the fish biting. Bottom line, and epic morning of bottom fishing in the confines and protected waters of the bay. Photo by Capt. Robert L. Brodie
