April’s Fishing Will Be Superb!

Hard to believe April is already here, but despite the windy weather lingering about Team Brodie Charters and clients have been coming back to the D’Iberville Marina with big catches. You name it: redfish, black drum, sheepshead, white trout, and ground mullet have been keeping the rods bent, and the fish cleaning table full. However, as weather gets better look for more species to become more prevalent like flounders, Spanish mackerel, coins aka “king”, Florida pompano, jack crevalles, bull reds, and plenty of sharks. Inshore and nearshore fishing will only get better, and the beautiful prestine barrier islands will be swarming with all sorts of sea life.  Chumming off the islands for sharks, bull reds, and cobia is about to kick in too, so be sure to give it a shot. It’s all good my friends so get on the boat and let’s go catching! – Capt. Robert L. Brodie
